Good PR
Kudos to Hong Kong’s Baptist University for having the flexibility to admit 9-year-old March Tian Boedihardjo into a master’s degree program in mathematics.
In addition to helping a kid whose parents didn’t have the cash to send him abroad to study, Baptist University scored a PR coup over the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, which claimed March was too young, and Hong Kong University, which was only willing to offer him a visiting scholarship.
