… a former CIA operative who betrays fellow agents and runs away to Cuba? Reuters started out with the word “whistle-blower,” but has since taken a different line.
Unsurprisingly, right-of-center blogs see this as another example of left-wing bias among the mainstream media.
From a management perspective though, it’s an interesting problem. Reuters is a global company that produces thousands of one-of-a-kind products (stories) each day, many of which are developing and subject to some degree of interpretation on the part of the manufacturer (reporter).
In that environment, how do you ensure quality control?
